I don't want to have to spend $2,200 before my insurance kicks in! I exclaim this, and then think, "I don't want to spend an extra $600 a year to have no deductible!" Insurance.
I'm sitting here in Orlando, Florida, picking through my employee handbook, filling out new employee paperwork, and trying to make sense of things like sick days, vacation, personal leave, paid holidays, FSAs and HSAs and 401k... none of which have I ever encountered before.
It's exciting, to have benefits, but it's much like the first day of school: so much newness, overwhelming and stressful and worrisome and scary, but so full of promise! Exhilerating!
Which reminds me, after a year I'm eligible for tuition reimbursement...
